Surf 2LT Boost light not working

Hey guys, when i turn the key to on the green boost light comes on but when i'm driving it doesn't seem to turn on when i can hear the turbo working, does any one know how to get it going?

also i noticed that the plug on the air intake pipe was unplugged so i plugged in in to see what happens but the car stalls as soon as it starts

and what model surf do you have ?

either unplugged, broken,no power or the air line to it has a hole, pulled off somewhere meaning there is no air to pressure the switch to tell it you are under boost.. check the lines and plug/ power to plug

sounds like boost sensor wasn't plugged in due to it being faulty by the sounds of it.
it should be the D-turbo model ie not efi. the boost sensor runs the lights and egr setup.

i would leave the boost sensor unplugged and go fit a boost gauge.

will i still be getting maximum boost out of it with it unpluged?

should be. fitting a boost gauge will tell you for sure.
i would also block off the egr and disable the egr butterfly.
