Best diff oil for an Auto 1KZTE '95 Surf (KZN130)

Post by bronx89 »

So just wondering what everyones experience and opinions are on the best diff oil on the KZN130 Surf's?

Mine is an auto and non-lsd.

Not wanting to spend a big amount of $$ on anything fancy and wanting to make the most of the good deals on at the mo but no idea which to get! Just wanting something that will do the job and keep it in good condition.

Majority of driving is on road, with a bit of beach and bush wacking (where it gets driven moderately hard).

Oh and do the front and rear diff's use the same oil? Only planning on replacing the rear fluid at the mo.

Cheers!

Cool, now I did know this but can someone refresh my memory as to what the first digit means and what the second digit means?

Also, how many L does the rear take, and how many L does the front take?

Thanks and merry xmas!

Diffs oil capacity are about 2.5 to 3.0 L....It doesn't really matter, Just drain and refill until the oil is coming out the fill hole.....

The question was how many L of fluid does each take, not how do I know when each is full. Obviously it's full when it's lapping at the filler hole.

Cheers all! Will probably go for the stuff mentioned by tallsam66.

The qty's in the manuals are only guides.....
Use them to purchase the approx amount and a bit more....
Then fill to just overflow.... :D On level ground....full moon.... tongue poking out to the left
