Are you doing front and rear springs? or looking at putting longer shackells in the back.

to fit 33's i would recommend a 2'' lift minimum and i would go for Old Man Emu as they seem to take more punishment and are alot softer spring.

Second that on the OME, PM SuV6rf. He put a standard Ome kit in his and its nice and soft with plenty of flex.

hey when i went down this track i talked to a few people about options as most guys i no running a 2 inch lift and 33s still get a little rubbing. I ended up getting tom to ruf the front and I put a 2 inch lift kit in the rear from bellamy and east(they do a kit in the rear for 4wding which is pretty soft they flexed alright and were nice and soft on the road ive since had to get another spring added for towing the boat they are a bit to hard for my liking now and not so good at flexing), i remember rick from 4wd accessories telling me you can panel beat the guards so 33s dont rub.lift kits cost a bit of money so id be asking everyone i no if i could take there truck for a ride to compare stay away from maxi trax they are hard as hell and my mate had 32s on his which rubbed quite bad your more then welcome to take my ute for a test drive if you want.
cheers troy

I use the truck for tahr hunting in winter so need flex and ground clerance as I go to some nuggety places and then in summer it tows the odd boatand thats about it, decks usually empty or got dogs in so much weight up back. Use it on road a bit but mainly shingel (about 15km) to get to town so wont it to ride pretty smove, andbudget well that depends on the kit and how good it will be I guess haha

Thanks for all the help, I rung Rick today in at 4wd accerioes and with his knowledge and time he pointed me towards Ironman stage one kit bit more expensive than Old man emu but the kit works out better, reackons it will be the best fit for my needs after explaining everything I do and explain I plan on running the 33x12.5 cooper st I have sitting in my garage.

Will post before and after pictures when I get it in :D

I personally am a dealer for tough dogg , however if you want a cheap kit iron man is ok ,
The reason i asked if you use it for multiple purposes is that i would strongly suggest getting adjustable ones so if you dont like how it rides you can actually do something about it ,
I personally use 45mm bore 9 way adjustable tough dog;s but if you were on more of a budget the rancho rs9000xl is a good all round shock ,
You may also want to consider extending your diff breathers ,and possibly running a castor wedge if you find it tracks after the lift ,
The downsides to adjustables is your looking at 980 to 1500 a set instead of 600 ,
At the same time it is better than buying the 600 dollar ones , selling them for 200 because your not happy and still having to fork out for the 1k plus anyhow ,

Yer I have had adjustable before but I got sick of having to tune them and breaking knobs off, From what I researched and been told old man emu springs are pretty much same as Ironman and the shocks are better for what I do then other kits so Im happy with that. Not to bother if it rides a wee bit hard it will never ride like my old sas surf!

Truck already has diff breathers mate first thing I did when I brought it as I often ford rivers to get around the farm.
