LJ50/80 front axle housing wanted

Post by LOLYF »

As the title says I'm needing one of these for a mate.
Around Auckland would be good but anything considered.

Cheers

The LJ50 housing is approx 50mm narrower each side than the LJ80.
They have different spring spacing as well.

there are a few LJ50 ones floating around but LJ80 are pretty rare.
LR110 ..... LJ50 project

Cheers for that Chris, didn't realize the 80 was wider I guess as long as it came with axles it could be made to work. Spring spacing won't be an issue, Jono is pretty handi with a welder

Don't happen to have or know of any do you?

Ok ok, I will get off my arse go and see what I have.

The reason I haven't yet is because I'm not sure if I have any good ones, as in they probably have rusty spring purches or worse.......

Johno has the Cappuccino powered LJ50 right??

I like the sound of that I was looking at doing the cappuccino transplant to my little suzuki then I found out the k series motors had the same bolt pattern and that was my ultimate setup unfortunately I sold it still regret it

Cheers Pete,
If you have one with rusty perches that would be fine, Jono can whip up some new ones and it would be a big improvement from the bent one it has now.

It's actually a Wagon R motor, 1 liter 4 cylinder turbo

Thats the K series engine I mentioned now I am really envious that setup would have been awesome in my little car. There is also a 1200cc n/a version of that engine

It's a great little motor, with 125hp and 690kg it has a better power to weight ratio than my Lexus powered hilux
