manual hubs

im guessing this has been thrashed around, but my search didnt find anything. wanting to know the pros and cons of installing manual hubs to a 80 series cruiser.

I did it because the centre diff lock broke, drove around with the CDL engaged and the front hubs unlocked for 2 years. Cheap mans 2wd. didnt seem to have and adverse affects

found some info on ih8mud and they all seem to think its a waste of time. as front diff is still working.

I think "Marks Adapters" do a kit?
