Any tricks to waterproofing an electric winch?

Garage talk. Anything from mounting a winch to water proofing the electrics.

Any tricks to waterproofing an electric winch?

Or additional cooling tips.Was thinking of those story`s one hears of guys stripping down their e-winchs after each adventure involving water/mud soakings.

I've tried waterproofing mine but water gets where water goes :x
Just have to service them sometimes :!:
What sort of winch are you running :?:

Decent seals for a start... and some positive air pressure - just a couple of psi from an air horn motor will do
