Hi Mate, You could just get the spyder gears in the rear diff welded up. This would be the cheapest option and will give you a full time locked diff.

Just and option.

Of course the best option would be to get rid of your Rocky and get a FJ40

Just the diff head needs to be replaced and the diff refilled with LSD gear oil.

Your best bet is to find a second hand LSD head that you can swap in. Find the model number of the LSD head then you can also try some wreckers.

Dont forget to get one that is the same ratio as the open diff!!

I know that sounds silly to say, but its so easy to forget.

thanks ill look into that. about welding the diff up, would this be a good idea to do to the front i have manual locking hubs so could still drive on the road. do you think this would be an advantage. or warrantable.
i would sell it and a yota, but then id just want to sell that too

Na, I`d only weld up the rear. Heaps of people weld up the rear diffs and it will make a big difference in how far you can go off road.

Brother in law welded up the rear diff in his RX7 and had no problem with warrents or turning circles

If you have some cash to spend putting in proper lockers would be better. Sweet in the rear but dont put an auto locker in the front (then you will have problems turning). If you can get an LSD head for it then put that in the front.

Just my 2c
