Annoying beeping reversing thing

Hi all, Happy new Year!!!!

Does anyone know how to disable the annoying beeping on a 89 Safari when reverse is engaged?

auto or manual?

play round in the fuse box or under the dash. we used to drive our van down the road at about 115 disconnecting connectors till the 100kph beeper stopped. lol

Be careful tho as often a couple of things use the same connection

It's an auto, I don't think mine has a 100K beeper annoyer not that the old girl can go that fast anyway.

Large adjusting tool ie screwdriver in the beeper ie kill it

You wouldn't know where the beeper is located? I tried putting the handbrake on sticking it in reverse and wonder around the truck looking for it but the damn thing sounds like it's coming from everywhere.

no idea about safarai's but you can purchase beeper bulbs... ie reverse bulbs which beep when in reverse...

If it is a factory beeper it will usualy be be be hind the panel under the steering wheel. It will usualy be a black plastic box. If it sound like it is out side the truck its usualy a round shaped thing unnder or in behind the bumper. This is an after market one and is usualy wired up to the reversing lights.
