WEL I HAVE GOT PROBLEM WITH MY HUBS AGAIN ... I HAVE PULLED THEM APART AND CLEANED THEM I HAVE MANAGED TO GET ONE MOTOR GOING BUT ONLY WHEN U DISENGAGE THE HUBS(IT DOES NOTHING WHEN U ENGAGE THEM) THE OTHER ONE DOES NOTHING AT ALL. HAS ANYBODY GOT ANY IDEAS. IF NOTHING ELSE WORK I THINK I WILL HAVE A TALK TO OLD BLUE AND GET THE MANUAL ONES
I think its actually cool to be able to lock/unlock the hubs inside, but its probably easiest to get them converted to manual so you dont have more probs.
Hate to say this but I went iffroad with someone with electric hubs and I would prefer to get dirty and know they are in or out.
He had so many problems with them he gave up and went manual. If it only goes one way then the relay controlling the polarity of the motor may be the issue (+ - to - + to change lock unlock)
well I know what I mean anyway but I suggest loking for manual hubs and if you have to keep clean get a 1 liter water bottle to wash hands after.
If they run one direction and not the other, i would say that its not in the hubs, but more in the relays.
If you remove the hubs, and useing a light tester , check that your got power to the copper strips on the slip rings.
Remember that you need to put the test light across the copper rings, not to earth.
You need to get the light to glow when you push the hub lock button, and release it.
It should glow for about 3+ seconds.
Hope it helps.

Yes, but you would need to buy and fit the complete assembley. starting from the stub axles out to the freewheel hubs.
Cheaper to just convert your own electric hubs to manual.$150.00

Just go as far as removing the hub body, this allows you to check the slip ring.
NOTE, If you need to remove the slip ring, tap the ends of the torx screws with a flat ended pin punch, a few times, then try to losen them.
Don't get to harsh with them.

just went out and pulled one apart and found this. that one wire(the white one) has been rubbing on something and had been half worn through it was also full of shit so cleand a bit off with wd40
Both wires need to be tucked in behind the centre pin, as in a crossed over configeration.
Apply 12v to the carbon brushs and see if the motor turns, then reverse the polarity , the motor should reverse.
