do it!!! i`ve seen it done, got a customer/pig hunter/dope grower who literally lives in a hj60 with 1hd-t power was done before he bought it,running the original box with a half 2h half 1hd-t bell housing welded together, fits in there nicely and goes like a rocket, only issue is recently we put new springs in the front cause he broke the rh bump stop which enabled the diff to smash the thermostat housing off, dumping all his coolant  ,survived though :)

im thinking about turboing the h2 now. its a way quicker cheaper option. im no speed demon, just need a bit more power for passing sometimes. ive read some stuff in here about it, great info by the way. its done 180 or something ks and seems strong enough. but.........i need a turbo and a manifold. any ideas would be much appreciated. thanks

I would think twice about putting a turbo on a 2H.
have a look on 1h8mud.com It would seem that they don't take to a turbo well. :(

keep that turbo away from that 2h ,guarantee you will regret it .some did come out turbo from the factory but had a nasty habit of cracking there head
