Surf engine mounts with a chassis swap

Post by nzhunter »

G'day,
I've found a 84 beam axle surf for sale that has no engine or gearbox and a pretty stuffed body and looking and doing a chassis swap to make mine a beamer. Are the 3Y petrol engine mounts in the same place as the 2L-t engine mounts? Cheers

petrol mounts are in a different place to the diesel ones, would be pretty easy to make up some new ones for your diesel, or perhaps cut your old diesel ones off your IFS chassis and re use.

I could i spose, but i can use works roof crane forklift etc, so would be fairly quick and easy. Plus i dont want to have to worry about a cert with my rough welding and stuff lol
