did some more tinkering on the G wagen got the transplant motor running today and yorick swapped the bell housing and pump onto another trans so looking like it will be a busy weekend next weekend to get them back in again

Spent the whole weekend in the shed working on the beast, Fitted wheel spacers, build rear bars, made a jack, spade and axe holder that fits on instead of the spare holder, stripped out factor seats and carpets ready for more supportive vinyl race seats, lots to do before rallywoods.....

Went and got a spare canopy from DJ (thanks DJ)

I got me wheels dirty, well sorta, Went to the farm and there was a little mud hole about 12'' deep, just about got stuck in it because i didn't see it, and i was in 2wd, and was towing the trailer with 3 motorbikes on it.
Managed to fling mud about 20 meters behind me tho, and cover the motorbikes:D, Dad and the boys where not to impressed with me:D.

Then took the mudzilas off and put the mt's on, Oh and also receved a new dent wile changing the wheels.

Yip you were the 13th truck through there and only the first four made it, everyone else had to winch.

Had an awesome day out at the club truck winch challenge marshalling. was good to see how it was done. will definately be entering it next time so watch out wopass

The seat belts do not touch the box's, that I did check.
and the height of the box's makes them great armrests but that won't count.
Best I have a talk to the WOF man without the box's in place and see what he says ...
The temptation is to take the back seats out, but they come in handy occasionally.

Just my opinion but i think you will have to radius the edges and maybe do something with the hinges so ya can't hurt ya self on em if things go pear shaped

personally, I have spent the last 2 months upgradin the hilux, and, having figured out Photobucket, heres some update pics

a whine in the gearbox, 3rd and 5th (been there since I bought it) had seemed to be getting worse so decided to pull and strip the box and found this gem



the gears etc were still ok, lucky enough , so put a bearing kit in it, refitted and no more whine (unless the wife is in the truck!!)

have also fitted 33' Goodyear MTR's and a "50mm" lift kit and shocks, although It has lifted more than 50mm

any way, I had refitted the Runva Winch a few weeks ago and started building the Bullbar around it, almost finished, just need to tie the main bar to the lower chassis mounts,add the lower loop bar, add brackets for indicators and spots and paint the whole lot black and then bring on the 4 wheelin

looking good dude will be a machine when it hits the dirt
