V8 Dimensions

Can someone measure the size of the injected RV8? Google tells me 843 long and 762 wide. This seems excessive and is bigger than a big block chev, and substantially bigger than a LS1. Much bigger than a 1UZ Toyota V8.

Is there anyway they can be made shorter using different parts ie P76? on the front of them, as there is a long area in front of the cylinder heads.

Measurements from the back of the rocker cover to the fan would be awesome.

Cheers, Glen

From the back of the rocker cover to the front of the waterpump pulley (don't have a fan on mine) = 700mm
Width across the rocker covers (not including exhaust manifolds) = 520mm
Dimension are approximate, taken quickly cause it's pissing down with rain.

Ok wicked, removing the viscous fan hub must have make it quite a bit shorter?

They are still a long motor it seems. Does anyone know by how much they can be shortened by taking off the fan, moving the alternator etc?

When I had my Rover in my Mahindra I was told that the water pump of a rover 90 car had a much shorter shaft than the RR
