 shit, so your given name at birth was Chopper was it? its not your given name so GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT and correctly state your name.
my point is, we all abreviate, or use slang or type something in the simplest or easily recognisable way.

FFS the slang for a surf is LN60/61
Chopper is his nick name and forum name so what does his name matter a shit anyway.

i was making a point, that yes it was slang, we all use it, there is no right or wrong ways to use slang is there.... im sure most knew what i was referring too, and wont get upset over one or two words i should have or not have used, and since we being all p.c, mines a petrol so its yn60 not ln60

I didn't want to jump in here, but I have read your posts J Dub, and to be honest they are confusing due to your use of the 60 series phrasing.

you say that you're using slang in the simplest or easily recocnisable way, yet if you look back through the majority of the threads you'll find that nobody really uses that phrase when talking about thier hilux.

Now chopper may not have been tactful in his approach ,but hes only stating what a lot of us have probably been thinking, I know I have.

So maybe we could just use it as a lesson on 4wd speak and move on, remebering that 99% or users on this forum regard a 60 series as a landcruiser

this is only my 2c worth and would rather not get my head bitten off about it, please just use this knowledge and move on dude

cheers

most people here seem to refer to a 60 as a landcruiser and surfs as LN60 etc, and yes it is confusing referring to a surf as a 60...maybe we should have a poll.

maybe we shouldnt too.

Why not let Mark's comments, made in good faith to defuse and clarify a potential flame war end the matter,
and just drop it and move on?

point taken, but i always say 60 series surf, not that confusing i wouldnt think, certainly not worth crying over spilt milk.
If someones going to course a fuss over something as minamal as this and get all worked up and attack me over 1 word i will fight back, as for the grown up comment, i am probably younger than alot of yas, but you dont see me attacking fellas over nothing and swearing and cursing over a use of 1 word... apparntly this site is full of older wiser men who are only eager to help the new comers.......

Dude, chop just pointed out something to you so you don't confuse your self and confuse others, you attacked back. Read what you wrote after your error was pointed out.
Also it doesn't matter what you call it, that is what it is.
