the filler bung on my transfer box is leaking and after a trip to queenstown have decided that i want to sort it as there was oil splattered on the rear diff (it leaks more when hot) and i dont know what is going on because me and a mate took filler bung off and about 1 litre of oil came out then we put bung back on so it was full then checked gearbox and that is full but pto is empty, also ahd a machanic mate do a few jobs on it and he sorted the bungs but it still leaks around the bung area so it dosent look like the bung is the leaker   :?: :?:

look for a leak above the bung (gasket, seal etc) that the oil is flowing down from.

if oil can get out, water can get in. You need to fix it properly otherwise you'll just end up with more issues.
