88 Gen 1 LWB Paj Did they come out with rear Discs factory ?

I just struck a little problem ... my rear pads are making that horrible screeching sound that they make when the wear indicators start rubbing. no probs i thought i'll just nip into Ripco and grab a new set of pads for the Mrs to fit.
Okkkkaaaayyy small problem, neither Ripco or superuseless has a part number listed for rear disc pads for the 88 Gen 1 LWB Leaf sprung Pajero, I'm assuming that the rear leaf sprung diff has been replaced at some stage (it's got a really effective LSD) or the Gen 1 DID have rear Disc's and Ripco and superuseless need to update their databases
anybody got any ideas if the later coil sprung rear disc pads fit?? i know could just whip out the disc and take them in and match them i suppose but i'm interested in trying to find out what the diff actually came out of
the Vin plate rear Axle numbers must mean something to someone but they are just a bunch of Number to me, from what i can find the 1987-88 GLX had rear discs but they where Coil sprung not leaf
.
