winding back kms of cluster

winding back kms of cluster

ok i have founf a new 3y-e cluster but it is at about 255,000 and my yn60 surf has only done 165,000 kms. how do i wind the kms back to the right amount? i know it has to do with having a drill but were do i connect the drill to?

i "hear some peolpe" do it by pulling the cluster apart and popping the small circlip off the the shaft that holds the numbers together, set it to what you want, put the circlip back on, assemble evrything back up
this is the only way to do it with out mucking up the number possition

just pull it out of the truck pull the clear plastic front off use a tiny screw driver and just flick the numbers not that i know how to do that :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: if u pull ya nedel off when ya put it back on it prob wont read correct :wink:

got home last night and the new one was sitting at the door so i pulled it apart and pulled my old one aparts and just took the whole speedo section out of my old cluster and just put it into my new one. easy as that.
