If you dont want the PTO let me know dude. I'd take it off your hands.

Or if you decide not to buy it let me know cause I may be interested in the whole unit.

can i take the PTO cover off my 74 g box and put the pto off the 70 series in/on it, this would be easier then ucking around with drive shafts. i dont really need the 5th gear, 100 is fast enough in the old wheel barrow!!! eh!
what i sthe diff between diesel and petrol g boxs ?? cheers

if you have the split case transfer then i think it should fit, but if you have the early cast case then no it wont. check the bolt spacings as they are both different
If you already know everything, DON'T ask bloody questions!!

If you've got the later split transfercase (post 1980) on your cruiser YEP but if you've got the early transfercase NO

Petrol gearboxes have a short corse spline input shaft and diesel gearboxes have a long fine spline input shaft :?

Or if you flip the rear springs (or put 70 series springs on the rear), the extra wheelbase will match the longer gearbox so you keep the same rear driveshaft and only need a longer front D/S
