urgent alternator for a toyota 2l diesel wanted

hey guys having major issues with my alternator so need a replacement one before saturday cheap (best i could pay is about $60-$70bucks joys of being poor...lol) as i'm deterimined to do the coastguard trip on next sunday.

Pull it apart and fix it yourself, all you need is screw drivers, patience bench space and a soldering iron, replacement parts for about $15 from AJ Auto's n the LH

A new aftermarket one is worth about 700 trade...

i've got a fully reconditioned one sitting in my garage which should fit ...... its worth a bit more that you were offering, if you were willing to dig a bit deeper then I may accept a bit now for it and couple of bits later......

Failing that maybe Reece would be willing to have a look at your broken one for a small beer payment.....

Or you could do a Bubba and pull it out and strip it completely and then get confused, and then buy another one and get it delivered to costa and forget to grab it whilst its there

I have a 2lt in the shed

if the alternator is the same, its yours for $100

but you have to get off ya ass and come get it, or check its the same etc etc etc


failing that, tell me and I will bring my jumper leads on Sunday to give you a buzz.

If you park up for very short periods, don't turn the faaaarking thing off.


but in all honesty you should get it sorted, coz you may run out of power by the end of the day.

ask reece nicely, although he is busy on his own stuff

cheers guys have asked reece to look at it for me but hit a snag with trying to take it off (two very very stubborn 17mm bolts) however if it turns out to be buggered will need one.

skid mine has a black 3 point plug if thats the same i reckon the rest should fit...

turns out the motor ya took the alt off, is in fact a 2L

so should be exactly the same dude

dunno why you had probs



now do ya wanna buy a spare motor to go with that alt

could be worn bushes maybe????? gonna swap the wires round and see if thats's the issue this weekend and if it fixes it cool if not i'll pull it out and build a good one from the pair of them.

and i'll let ya keep the spare 2L for the moment
