Panhard Rod Bushes.???????????????

Post by haydgq »

Hey there,

Im trying to find some Rear panhard rod bushes for a 130 series surf and im not having much luck at the mo, Ive got a feeling the front Panhard on a 78 series Prado might use the same bushes, Can anyone confirm this or know what part numbers i need etc as so far BNT or Repco cant find the ones i need and ive searched the net and found that Noltec Australia have a listing and also Dobinson also have a full rear end kit listing but no seperate parts etc.

Cheers for any help guys.

I put aftermarket bushes in my 130 surf. Cant remember the part num etc , i know i went through several different bushes before i found the ones that fitted. They were either prado or landcrusier.

However ...... Found the after market bushes to be really stiff and actually limited my rear flex. From what i understand the panhard has to flex laterally against it mounts during travel and nolothane etc limit this movement.
So i went to the wrecker and got some second hand factory rubber bushes. haven't looked back since.

my 2c.

Try Terrain Tamer here in Auckland (aka Bus & truck or Don Kyatt). They've ordered some rear panhard bushes for our prado from auz for us so might be able to do some for your surf. Phone (09) 263 6021
