gew 10000 or ewx 9500 what one

hi all, have read post on the runvas , so now what one should i get gew10000 or ewx 9500... about the same price.any thoughts...cheers.....

EWX is sealed from the elements a lot better from my understanding. If you look as the specs its faster to i think?

thanks taz, don't know much about winches have looked at specs bit over my head ,but that's not hard.. just want one for when im up river fishing and so on , wouldn't be used much i don't think....

I was on the hunt for one a few weeks ago so did a little bit of digging.

The specs look a bit daunting but just open them up in two seperate windows and make them cover half the screen each so you can see both of them and just compare numbers to numbers.

If the price is pretty similar I'd go for the EWX. There is also a thread on here somewhere, I think DieselBoy created it, about pulling them apart and doing a few little things to the wiring and to make them pretty much waterproof? Best to have it all sorted for 'shit creek' when you will need it
