converting 4cy tacho to 6cyl in 2.4d hilux

Hey, After the lowlifes lifted my lux and stole anything they could unbolt, I was wondering if I could recalibrate my rev counter to suit the 6 cyl signal pulse, as mine is a 60 series one there is no switch on the back as that model only came out with a 4cyl in it.

yes i just done that, you buy an rev counter interface from autosparkie shop and it has microswitches that you turn on or off to suit the signal required. approx $150

America had a 61 series 4 Runner/surf with the V6 so maybe the import surfs might have a diff dash cluster.??
