70 series + super charger = ?????

Post by BigRedCruiser »

Hey i want to increase my horsepower in my 70 series 13b 3.4 cruiser.
Has anyone put a supercharger on?
Not a stupidly massive one but one thatl give a decent upgrade in power & toque.
Has anyone done it?
What do I want to put in? or is a turbo but my engine isnt plumbed up for it???

as sig says turbo probably easier if you can track a wrecked cruiser and get the turboe gear off it, or a SC14 blower of a iggze(?) toyota, am running one on a 3.8 v6 and get about 5psi out of it, just need to alter pulley sizes to get required boost.

cheers

As Sig says it is easier to get a turbo off a wreck.

I am running an Sc14 on the 5L and with a 215mm pulley have 8lbs of boost out of the intercooler.

The Big advantage of the supercharger for 4 wheeling over a turbo is the boost at idle when you need it.

I have 4lbs at 700rpm
