FJ40 2F power steering

Wanting to run either surf or 70 power steer system in my 40, Ive still got the standard 2f in it an not looking to change that any time soon, so what i wanna know is where is the usual/best place to mount the steering pump on the engine? If anyones got any pics thatd be helpful aswell. Thanks.

Hi Does your 2f head have three threaded holes on the right hand side If so then the 3f pump will bolt on, just need to sort the bottom pulley then

i realise the 2f is vastly different to the 3b powerhouse i'm running ( ), but if it helps i could post up a pic of power steering pump on mine fer yee? just holla if ya want it up.. if not, no harm no foul..

Thats where the pump sits on a 3F, its the same block as a 2F

Cheers,Dam thats a long belt Ive seen a couple of 2fs with different pumps mounted there. one i saw used a crown pump/reservoir with a big custom made bracket to suit an a extra pulley on the fan hub which was the sorta thing i was thinkin of doin

Nah there twin pullys and 2 belts, both go from the crank to the waterpump pully then split their respective ways. I gave the pump, brackets and pullys to the guy that brought that motor off me, Abbo's mates got it all now but I dont think he'd want to sell it?
