tow hooks

i new to the mitsi. i got a pajero and cant work out a god strong place to put a tow hook on front. any one got some photos of where they put theres or any good ideas. i plan on leaving bumpers on.

Yup, use the factory one, its pleanty strong enough. And you can also cut the tie down point off the other side and bolt on another in its place.

i think mine must not have one cos the only thing that is close is the small one welded to chassie it looks like if you pulled on it with a piece of string it would break the welds :lol:
the places i get stuck take a lot of getting out of so want strong rated hook

You are quite right, the factory hook is not suitable for recoveries.
I will not snatch anyone without a proper hook setup, I'll winch them instead. I have seen the damage a broken tiedown and strop can do.
I have cut off both factory tie downs and have a piece of angle iron bolted (with rated bolts) to the chassis with pipe sleeves inside the chassis for strenght. The rated tow hooks are mounted facing upwards so the strop won't fall off.

ok so made good strong bumper wiht tow hooks bolted it all up then tested it by pulleig hedge out. i now broke all the welds on oneside and bent it all up and cracked on the other so how i have to fix the bits that mitsi rushed and did not weld proper
