Hi all, I've been keen to try 4x4ing ever since my father, my brother and I used to head along to Taps farm out near Raglan to watch the national trials. That was a few years ago now and I've finally managed to get myself in a position 6 months ago to purchase a 4x4. I bought a 97 Mazda Procede Levante (Mazda badged Vitara) 2.5l auto that looked like it had been lightly 4x4ed but was in good condition. Since buying it I've put a set of KL-71's on it, lifted it 2", added longer travel rear shocks and put a Chinese locker in the front. Future plans are to put a rear locker in it and maybe a winch if I can get around the air bag/bumper problem.
I'm an engineer, I do all my own repairs and I'm keen to share any info I've picked up along the way. I'm also keen to trade parts and get out there and do some trails.
New to 4x4
