transfer cases 70 series

Post by elvis »

Hey guys im after a bit of help i have recently changed over transfer cases,my old one was vacum operated and my new one is now mechanical,is there any way to adjust lever to get it to engage properly? it will engage 4wd when i select 4wd low but not when i just select 4wd(straight back) and i have to hold it in 4wd low i.e down and towards me to get it to work in 4wd, 4wd system worked fine when it was in other cruiser so have i misplaced something when swapping them over? cheers troy

its a differant set up
you need to take all the brackets off the old gear box and fit those on
you will also need to make the hole in the floor bigger to allow for the extra movement the lever travels in
its a painful job but worth it in the end
