2Lte engine problems

Post by Filthy4x4 »

After taking it to woodhill today on the way home it randomly just lost power and boost.

It just randomly bogs down and the revs start going down when your foot is on the gas then it will randomly pick back up again...

Any Ideas?

check boost sensor line. they tend to crack and split.
otherwise common fault is TPS.

from inlet manifold to boost sensor.
if i remember right it starts off at the inlet manifold with a big hose into a filter thingy, then drops down to a smaller sized hose.
typically the big hose splits and sometimes the filter thing blocks up.

Cool cheers dude, I checked all the lines out today couldnt find any split.

It seems to only loose revs in 4th gear under load and then it makes a funny smell :?
