Hi there , i have a 92 3.1 and its starting to eat water . It looks like its coming from the side of the motor....Is there frost plugs there??? Just replaced cap which needed replacing . When you turn the car off there sound like a air leak??? Could this be part of the problem.
Thanks abbo....

could be a frost plug but behind the back of the engine are 2 waterlines which could be your issue. if it is them good luck they arent very nice. they go to your oil cooler on the drivers side dont qoute me on where the oil cooler is as i,m more familiar with the 2.8 engine

^^^what he said.
they get pretty brittle and crack quite easily. if you want to replace without ripping engine out, you will need to bend some of your inner gaurd back and have skinny hands.
took me about 3 hours to replace hose with many swear words

stupid isuzu design

I got a pinhole in one of the steel tubes that run behind the block and it took a while to find as it is all mixed up with the inlet manifold and feeds to the heater.
What they said about replacement ... It's a pain made only a little easier when I had to take the exhaust manifold off
