Out of curiosity, what about the 383 doesnt suit what you use it for?

I wanted to put a stroker kit in when I rebuilt my motor but it went way over budget with just the standard rebuild

just buy this one dude!

stroker motors are awesum bro, its not really that theres anything wrong with the motor its just my driving style doesnt really work with that motor, well it sorta does now with the new cam in it but ive decided to build a new motor anyway for funzies.

the new motor im building wil do everything i want to do and then some and will suit my driving style. then when i get sick of wheeling i can pull it out and drop it into a camaro with a new cam and takae it to the drags and pull 10sec 1/4's....

So to put that into proportion, average Camaro needs about 600hp plus around 200 NOS boost part way down track to do low 10 seconds. So you're talking about 500 cubes with a carb? or going fuel injection this time? Dodge V10 would look good in the 40.
