a 1JZ should bolt up to an R152 box. Are you sure its not a 1GGE that you are talking about?
If the R150/51/52 box casings are the same as R154 (internals are) then they wont have seperate bellhousings.

From memory the 1JZ and 2JZ actually bolt up to an R154... the input shaft is the wrong length to just whack a 150 or 151 on it tho.
What you need is a locally made adaptor that bolts to the gearbox end of the A340 auto bellhousing for that motor and then you can bolt a G52 or W56 onto it... I am pretty sure the R150/1 adaptor would have to be designed as the guy who does them locally only has them for the G/W adaptor.
Good conversion... just finished a 2JZ-GE one in a Hilux, goes like a haunted S%$thouse

Brendan at Nite Parts sells bellhousings to fit 1JZ's, not sure if that helps.
Fitting a 1JZ in the engine bay is a squezze though, length wise that is.

Fits fine
As you can see, theres at least a good 7 or 8mm of clearance between the motor and the radiator

Perhaps mine has less space due to having a large intercooler straped to the front, and a couple of turbos off the side

R150's definitely have separate bellhousings.
