KZJ71 Prado 4WD Light flashing

Hey guys, i've got a kzj71 prado, manual hubs recently installed. Went off the road yesterday and engaged 4wd with the push button. Haven't used it in a while but the 4wd light just kept flashing. Any ideas why? Cheers

There was something that needs doing to trick the 4wd system into thinking the electric hubs are engaged. can't remember the details, but have you done that?

When your system was normal (elec hubs) if you were driving too fast and tried to put on the hubs it would flash at you....
Thats the only time I recall it being activated....

Now that you have gone manual hubs...(me too)
I still hit the hub on button...When I manually do the hubs.
I do it for two reasons...
So the idiot lights let me know I have hubs on....
And also it allows the 4x4 system lights to let you know what is happeneing...
So when you hit the 4Hi button the 4WD light comes on.
And also when you throw the Lever into Low the 4WD light comes on....

Well I always push the hub lock button as well if that should make a difference? When I put the manual hubs in I took the hub lock light bulb out because it kept flashing. The flashing 4WD light didn't seem to be an issue, it was definitely in 4WD, just wondering if something hasn't quite been done right? Cheers for your help guys.

I never did anything to the system when I changed to manual hubs....
Just unplugged the leads.......
Left the old wiring in the swivel hub as it sealed up the hole where the wire went thru...
Might have a sticky switch in the transfer case....???

In some 4wd your transfer case wont engage 4wd until the hubs or the diff has engaged.
