wear to mount tow hooks

trying to mount tow hooks on my 80 series with a arb front bar any ideas on best way to mount them?

Yeah i have same issue,at the moment have them on bottom of chassis rail.
But when ive got stuck there in the mud and hard to get to.
Im probably going to cut holes in the front bar and have them bolted to top of chassis rail

are the these not sufficent enough for a D shackle?
also if you look just above that you can see where they have bolted a two hook.

Ok that look like it would work, hopfully the bar is strong enough

Yeah i don't know why they don't incorperate them as they have a winch pulling on the mounts ? but in saying that that is a steady load not a snatched load.

I spose the easiest wasy around it would involve having a short strop from the hook/eye on the chassi rail and tie it to the bar with a bungee cord when off road.

Here is a pic of mine. I welded a doubler plate on the inside of the bumper which tied into the chassis to bar mounts. Easy access when stuck in the mud.

And here is the same thing on my 80 series.
