So, I officially have caught the bug after the napolean hill attempt

and also i now have a job, which means i can save up for things woooo

it will be running 31's, as i feel that the car is quite capable with them on, at some point once this gearbox burns, i was thinking of two options, a rebuild with bulletproof parts, or a tranny of a 300zx, this transmission situation, is still very theoretical, as i do not plan to intentionally burn it. it will still be diesel powered, cause thats how it should be, getting a dump pipe made some time soon, have to an EGT, getting some recovery gear, and probably some time next year a winch.

some key points, i am not planning to dump it into mud, i prefer terrain crawling and climbing hills. It still has to be road legal. Thats about it.

So, my question here would be, what am i missing that i should consider in my build?

Peace

Arvin

The 300zx auto is the same centre as the terrano (and lots of other Nissan cars). The twin turbo 300zx is the same as the patrol. From my research the terrano front housing/pump etc will bolt to a safari centre as will the output bits.

The centre part of it will. The V6 ones will have same bellhousing/pump, diesel ones are different. Output shafts will be different but are interchangeable. There are 2 ratio sets also. For the most part they changed 94ish. I have the ratios somewhere if you want to know the difference. Cefiros, 2L skylines and Silvas all use the same centre to. (RE4R01A)

Safari and Twin turbo are RE4R03A
