Vibration after installing Castor Bushes

Post by a80crewza »

Got castor correction bushes installed into my 80 to fix light steering and wandering issues. Lift is an ironman 2" lift, but is more like 2.5". Bushes are 2.5 deg and rubber. Vibration occurs when decelerating around 40kmh or less. Is it a driveshaft angle issue? Is there an easy fix? What should the DS angle be? Didn't think id run into problems on a 2" lift...

Might be a universal joint. They wear into a groove so to speak. :D Pull the driveshaft out and check the joints by hand, it should move smoothly in every direction, if not new UJ's are cheap enough :D

Make sure you didnt bend the front drive shaft on the sway bar when fitting the lift , i have seen a shaft with a ben in it before which i presure happens when the shocks were out ?

Thanks. Will check that out in the weekend, and the drive shaft isn't bent either.
