over drive light flashing. 1993 surf KZN130, auto

the over drive light has just started to flash,
the speedo is working fine and it drives normally
it wont go into over drive at all,(normally it was approx 85-90kms,
any thoughts appricated

this is because a fault has been detected by the ECU and thus set your truck into limp home mode.
the number of flashes before a pause is the diagnosis code.

Same truck and year as mine and mine has been doing it since 2008, speed sensor on the auto or something someone once told me. My auto just locks up ten k's later (90-95) and thats the only side effect I've had. Kinda annoying towing but thats about it.
If you do fix it, would be keen to one day fix mine.

P.s if you have more then 1 code i recommend writing them down
clearing the fault codes and drive till they return.
