What would cause the trans to not shift down when accelerating from the lights/intersection etc. It's like its in 3rd.

Would a light leak in the radiator cause it to overheat up hills?

I know the viscous fan hub was changed with a genuine one about 3 years ago, and the thermostat was changed with a genuine one about 3 months ago. The radiator has a wee leak (seeping not spraying) from the top tank. its on the list of stuff to do before driving it, but want to make sure its not something more sinister.

The overheating caught me by surprise as it has never done it. The temp gauge went up to about 3/4 when I felt the trans tunnel was hot, Saw the gauge and flicked the heater on instantly.

The other annoying problem is the windows work occasionally. I get home and they work, i turn the car off they don't work, I drive the car around the block and they come right. I think there might be a broken wire somewhere. it only affects the front widows lol.

Keen on your thoughts on the above. Its off the road now for a while so not fear of breaking the engine.
