Small noisy 12V horn inside the cabin???? 94 Nissan Homy

Hi guys,

just the other day I noticed this novelty in my 1994 Nissan Homy, TD27 - when starting up the car, as soon as I turn the key into warming up position (all lights come on, glowplugs warming up) there's an abhorrent noise filling the cabin which took me some time to locate.

I first thought it might come from the stereo which it didn't. After a series of startups I discovered a little 12v horn under the dashboard on the driver's side next to the door.
It starts to give a signal as soon as I switch the key over to ignition (not starting the engine) and holds it for about 20 seconds or until you start the engine and then slowly gives out. I haven't noticed it before and it came on for the first time after I changed my waterpump, radiator and thermostat. Did I put an earth wire in the wrong spot? I'm wondering what it is trying to tell me?! Low oil, low diesel, low whatnot? Overcharged battery? Wires are coming from the same harness as the purple connector.

I didn't find a wiring diagram or anything similar on the webs so just hoping to find some help here.

Could be a low vacuum warning. If so it will have the hand brake light on at the same time with the hand brake off.

Nah, light goes out. Brake works alright...weird weird stuff. Could it indicate a mistake made while fitting pump/thermostat/radiator?

Only other option could be a low water level alarm but I have never seen one factory fitted to a nissan van. I still think vacuum is the most likely culprit. Some where around the engine will be a vacuum switch and the little hose going to it may be split of broken and have been disturbed while doing the other work.

Couldn't find anything obviously loose...vacuum pump should be somewhere around the alternator, right? Any further info on how to identify the mentioned hoses?

It goes to one of the main harnesses so me thinks it could be standard in the Homies. But, at that's a long one, still no idea what could have triggered the "alarm" - some days after I parked it on even ground again, the problem disappeared. Hasn't reappeared since. Could it be related to the steep incline I was parking on? Because it's 4WD does it maybe have an alarm for "Hey buddy, if you tilt me any further, I'm going to tip over."?
As far as I can say the car doesn't have an alarm fitted. Anyway, why should it go off when I unlock it and then start it. It doesn't even have central locking so I doubt the alarm

The car is basically in good shape (all things that you can changed got recently changed, etc.) so it is either something that was disconnected during the recent repairs (vacuum hoses? but how do they look?) or some liquid I didn't check (gearbox, transmission? how to check?) or it is something completely different.

Cheers for any help.
