proportioning valve kzn130 surf

ok so ive searched the forums for ages and cant find the answer...... do I need to mess with the proportioning valve on the rear diff of my surf when I install my 2" suspension lift????? if I do, then how/ what do I do

just unbolt off diff bracket and bolt a flat piece of steel into those holes on diff bracket, to make a new bracket, and bolt valve onto new steel bracket 2 inches higher than factory.

does it cause problems if not done ie brake failure?

won't cause brake 'failure'. rear brakes just won't work or will hardly work, depending on how much weight you have in the back. its designed to put more braking to the rear the more weight you put in the back. so by lifting chassis 2" away from diff that changes the angle of valve, it is saying you have no weight in the rear of vehicle.
you won't get a wof without lifting diff bracket. I've tried.
. unless you lower the chassis end by 2", but that's not as easy.

no wasn't really into recording everything then, been a few years since I've played with 130s.
just use a piece of flat steel 30mm roughly wide or whatever you have lying around. about 100mm long or so, enough to lift the holes up 50mm.
drill 2 holes in steel to bolt onto bracket on diff, then measure 2 holes 50mm above for the valve to attach to. \
