fj40 body lift

is the lift including the old mounts or on top of them

This question seems a little random... but do you mean does a body lift go on top of the old mounts? In that case yes, the blocks go between the rubber mounts and the body when doing a body lift...
...if not, and I've missed your point entirely then just ignore me

you got the point

i saw some blocks being sold where you remove rubber mounts but the blocks take this into account.

how do you get to the 4 rear body mounts above the frame

not the ones in the bumper.

mids are from under the body, inside the chassis rails, there is a little 'pocket' which the mounts are in.. the bolt tops are captive so just undo the nuts from below... its just that easy..
the fronts are from in the drivers foot well and directly under, and passengers same dealio..
there should be 6 body mounts on tub if i'm correct? 2 up front, 2 mid and the rear bar pair..
if the ones ya thinkin of are able to be seen in the rear wheel well, they just sit on the chassis and are not connected to chassis at all, they just sit there supportin the tub..
are these the ones you mean?
