I CHANGED MINE TOO AND IF U R REFERRING TO THE METAL HOOKS ON THE NEW PART THEN THE ONLY THING I COULD THINK OF WAS THAT THEY HOLD EVERYTHING UP ABOVE YER HEAD WHILE U UNBOLT IT....I HAVEN'T HEARD OF ANY OFFICIAL PURPOSE YET

P.S.

DID U CHANGE THE BEARING COS IT WAS DESTROYED OR WERE U TRYING TO STOP THE TRUCK SHUDDERING LIKE HELL WHEN POWERING UPHILL IN 1ST N 2ND COGS? IT TRIED A NEW CENTRE BEARING BUT IT DID SQUAT TO STOP THE SHUDDER.
I THINK I NEED LADDER BARS ON THE DIFF HOUSING AS THE ONLY THING ATTATCHING THE DIFF TO THE REST OF THE UTE IS THE SPRINGS AN WITH LOTSA TORQUE ETC THE DIFF JUST WRIGGLES AWAY FLAT OUT LIKE A LIZARD DRINKING.

GOOD LUCK!

Yea thats the bits,i've put the new one in now(no metal tabs)and she seems to be ok.
The reason i replaced it was cause it was completly shagged,it wasn't shuddering at all,it was just rattling around.
The next problem i have is the double carden joint,i need to know if it can be replaced without removing subframe :?: :?: :?:
Also does any one have one for sale (reasonbly priced)
Cheers
