Fark sakes!!

So the big bad men hiding behind keyboards have driven the 4wd ass into hiding? Give me a break.

The forum is a great place for passing out infromation and garnering responses. Yes sometimes you wont get the answers you were looking for but if you dont consultate then the only answers you'll get will be those you formulated yourself in your cloistered groups.

As a public organisation (yeah I know its not public in the truest sense - but when you start to speak on behalf of all 4wders you become public) you must accept that sometimes the responces you will get wont be what you want to hear. Politicians know this, anyone viewed in public as a representative of any group know this so why is this too hard to understand? Yet these people still speak to the media (who can be thier friends or enemies) who are better able to spread their message and give them access to responces.

Join a club? Why should I have to join a club to be able to enjoy the country side I live in? Perhaps I should join green peace so I can get a card to go fishing, or perhaps the deerstalkers ass so I can go shooting or maybe forest and bird before going duckshooting.

I think maybe the 4wd ass needs to harden up and get on with communicating the changes they propose that will affect us all and then dealing with the fallout. Maybe on something as polarising as this a joint venture with other organisations (such as combined) would have been a better idea.

thats the bit right there that fcuks me off, this forum with the wide coverage it has accross the country is the ideal medium for the NZFWDA to use to get information relevant to four wheel driving accross to not only its membership but the 4wd community as a whole to keep everyone in the loop with whats going on, whats going to go on in the future, whats already gone on and all that shit but because a small bunch of people who seem to have their noses out of joint over the proposed auth cards like to keep making continous snide attacks and windup's onto anyone posting on behalf of or representing the NZFWDA trying to drag everything into a shitfight the NZFWDA wont post any further information or reply to anything in the public forums on here. I dont really have any problem with anyones arguements for or against the proposed auth cards and to be honest I'm a bit two minded about the whole thing myself but I personaly weigh it up as the lesser evil, an auth card for lifts or no lift, but that aside coz this isnt a thread about auth cards, all these minorities on here have done is made the NZFWDA withdraw from this forum so now we all miss out on the flow of valuable information about our 4WDing future and the forum looks like a bunch of imature bickering kids that are only in it for a scrap, what the fcuk have they acheived in their campaign against auth cards by behaving like this other than closing off a communication channel for NZFWDA updates, information and discussion so now me and everyone else misses out

It might be the case that a special announcements forum is setup that can be posted to by a 4wd body that is locked off from replies. An information flow without heckling so to speak. Discussion threads can then be created by those that wish to comment without effecting the original information post. Please PM me if this would be an option for those that post information to the public, otherwise I'll just leave things as they are and everyone misses out.

Can a field be setup in profile to select if you are a 4wdassn or combined member? And appropiate threads put up?

Bickering between the two organisations does not help our cause in the long run... our efforts should be collaboration in these matters and things like track closures etc ... diveded we fall

perhaps a working group between the 2 organisations cab. have regular meetings online or face to face to discuss such things ... ... im happy to put some time into it if wanted

we perhaps need to hold more joint events matbe a north 1 year and south the next year each hosting each other

Erm, the nzfwda have their own website and forum. I would have thought the tony would be able to "disseminate information" relevant to nzfwda there.

No need for Tony and co to post information in here (for all and sundry to have a winge at them) to get information to members. the required tools are in place to do so already via the Internet.

Perhaps nzfwda members/hierarchy need to defer to the avenues already in place at the nzfwda website for the seemingly required information flow. If for whatever reason there's no information sharing there, the topic can be bought up..... There, not here. (Assumes of course that all nzfwda members are aware of the nzfwda forum)

No need to identify what member is with what organisation on ORE, no need for a separate area, no need for nzfwda to get embroiled in conversation on ORE, full stop.... I don't shag me wife in the neighbours house, I have my own house, surely the same philosophy is applicable here.

Just sayn is all
