Ok, I am not too good with the 'ol 'puter, so can anyone have an avatar? How do I make my pic's small enough to be used as an avatar? I have found where to up load the pic I want to use, but I see in the announcements part that only supporting members can get an avatar, how do ya become a supporting member?
I was not too sure where to post this either....
Cheers,
Shane

Re: Creating an avatar
Yep you have to be a paid site supporter or an Assoc member (or you used to on the old site) to have an avatar. I dunno how you register as a paid supporter on this site so pm mike or mark if you cant find out how to do it?
To load your avatar go into "user control panel" and select "profile" and then select "edit avatar". The pic you load has to be no bigger than "Maximum dimensions; width: 150 pixels, height: 150 pixels, file size: 146kB" which means its got to be shrunk down to a postage stamp size. If you open your pic with microsoft paint (should be on your pc program list) you can reduce the size and check the properties as you do it till it meets the size requirements.
If you cant work that out get one of your kids to do it for you
