Or a PTO?
Years ago I made up some relay rods that had a lever handle on the bull bar, and a chain link that attached to the clutch pedal shaft for a PTO on my 60 series cruiser. Meant I could control the winch from the front of the truck, and was real handy for re-spooling the cable back on the drum.
Ugly is a state of mind..... and the state of my truck!

Anyone awake out there ?
or has this been covered somewhere else.
Rig up something so you can engage or freespool the winchdrum clutch from within the cab.
How did you get on haynzy ??

I didn't know that you could buy air freespoolers.
My winch is a Runva EWX 12000. ( not quite in the same league as yours but has been very reliable to date ).
Had a look on their website but doesnt look like any available. Will do some searching to see what else is available but I have onboard air so could rig up something with that or even cable activation because it only needs 90 degree movement.
Just wondered what others had made up and saved some $$$$'s.

Cheers :)

if you have air available a small air ram to operate the the lever (or a extra piece mounted to the current lever) should be fairly easy
There is no mechanical problem so difficult that it cannot be solved by brute strength and ignorance.

Yeah
Air ram looks the way to go. Have even seen them made from screen door closers.
Any thoughts on a switching valve. :?

Some bugger out there must have a nicely sorted system. Just have to track them down and get a photo posted.
