R15x rebuild questions

I have pulled the R151F from my Surf and I am about to rebuild it, bearings, syncro's, and the 1st gear thrust replacement.

I have the factory manual which is not bad but it refers to toyota special tools where bearings and gears need to be pressed off.

I have access to all the tools I need plus a 20 ton press. Can the rebuild be done at home like this? I don't have a massive range of bits for the press which might be a problem.

Anyone rebuilt one of these before? Anyone know a good source for bearings and syncro's?
