have got some rubber flares for the trip to ralleywood , that wire support for the outeredge what a pain to fit

Best you get two set's then and fit mine when you get down here because we don't want your new found knowledge going to waste

whats the chances of driving down there plus around the north island with 65mm of tyres out passed the guards and not get pulled over

Go the garden edging way ... It's cheaper and no wire edge to contend with ...

thought about it, brought some , used it in the garden felt to hard to be useful

The problem I have with this stuff is it is too rigid and I for one feel if it catches on anything you run the chance of doing panel damage to the guards.

Another option is conveyor belt offcuts - try Blackwoods, they have a conveyor manufacturing division.

I had trouble feeding the wire through mine too, i ended up tearing the flares a bit because i was forcing the wire through to much. Ended up installing them with a couple of screws first and getting the right cutout shape then taking them back off, squirt some wd40 down both ends of the flares and then feed the wire through when they aren't mounted on the guards, takes a little longer but much easier,
