Repowering 92 SWB Paj with GTO TT motor

Post by mudjunkie »

hi all, any one tried this, i've got 92 swb pajero 3l v6 sohc etc, looking at doing the GTO Twin Turbo conversion, saw a cert guy, he said all good, as same block etc, mounts, etc, bolt up to the auto same etc,

anybody know of any cooling probs, and if the auto trans ecu is seperate, or part of the engine ecu, can run the auto in manual mode, just shift thru selector, if need to, but easier if worked itself out,

think its a semi normal conversion in japan. the block itself should bolt in, and up to your current box. when you ask about the trans ecu im assuming your currently running a auto? you may have to make custom manifolds and posibly have to look at custom mounts for the altenator etc...

another option would be getting the twin cam heads from a gto and bolting them on woth a pair of turbos on custom manifolds?
