Post by brianr70 »

has anyone done an LPG conversion lately?

with price of petrol and diesel it looks more attractive to go to LPG

Any vehical can run on it including diesels provided you got the room for the tank.
I install my own saves thousands on install costs
They wanted nearly $5000 to install it on my injected v8 I did a computer controlled install for about $1250 last year

Basically the same as any other install except it has a lamda sensor that controls the gas flow I plug my laptop into it to tune and set the LPG up

Where can we buy these self-install LPG kits?
How did you get the LPG install certified?
Are there any special tools we need?

Got evrything from the UK (http://www.lpg-kits.com/) except the tank, filler line and the line from the tank to the vapuoriser.
Got a secondhand tank from a wreckers repainted it and had it tested also got the filler line aswell.
Went to local LPG install place and bought new coil of fueline.
Most LPG install places will sell you everything you need or you can try Trademe
Certification is simple just take it for a $35 LPG warrent
Only special tool you will need is a double flare tool.
