Re: TD42 turbo oil feed lines?
Hi The oil feed is taken from the oil gallery there is a screw in plug just between the passengers side engine mount ,as for the return the best way is to fit a tube straight to the sump and run a hose up to the Turbo just make sure the hose you use is suitable for Hot oil ..Cheers

Re: TD42 turbo oil feed lines?
Hi on my original turbo set up i just had the oil feed of a T from the vacum pump oil line and it cost me a turbo as the turbo was starving for oil on start up mine is a top mount set up that might make a difference but i would not recomend it ,its much safer useing a direct feed from the oil gallery..Steve
Re: TD42 turbo oil feed lines?
The gallery by the engine mount that Steve is talking about is already there. All you need to do is take out the grub screw that blocks it and fit an oil line. It is very simple, reliable and anything else is cutting corners AND creating more work.
Turbo's may not need much oil, but they really do need it. Take it away and it will cost very quickly.
