FJ40 350 LPG on TdMe
Gidday all, just a note of caution on this listing: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =165756482 , my personal experience is that she is not reliable to deal with. I won this truck fair and square about 2 or 3 months ago, she then emailed and demanded the entire balance by bank transfer within 7 days.
I suggested 50% and the balance on collection, but suddenly the truck (which had been sold as in full running order) developed a head gasket problem.
I offered to buy in 'as is' condition and organised a transporter down to auck. She refused and said she would get it fixed. She then turned round and said it had cost extra to get it fixed so she wanted more - I offered a bit more. She said no, the mechanic says it's worth even more and the other owner (yes, there is a joint ownership listed on the VIR ) wanted at least more agian. Needless to say the whole thing fell out of bed. Shame, because it's just what I'm after. I have a V8 'project' but it looks like the one on the ih8mud forum (malawi rebuild) in the disassembled and stripped own photo's. when will i learn??

is it just me or does that look like skids old one painted black
toymota thats stock standard.
Re: FJ40 350 LPG on TdMe
It does look like it, but according to the plate it's not.
That plate was originally in Temuka, then in Nelson until 1998. After that it went up to the north of the north Island and all owners since have been up that way.
It looks from the records as if it may have been pranged down south (second owner was a panel-shop), odo readings are all over the place, and it has had the registration lapse on one occasion. A chequered history by the look of it!

Has that interesting line
to overcome the Auctions Act
what questions you want asked
Hell I might even make an offer
Note: Advertised elsewhere so maybe withdrawn

if its met reserve then its a binding agreement, 'in theory' she has no choice but to sell it to the highest bidder. regardless of what she might think
but i could be wrong.
Re: FJ40 350 LPG on TdMe
i AM the high bidder - i already won it!! http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =149360950
since i won it and she then turned round and basically doubled the price, i thought i'd put a bid on for twice as much and (assuming i won) then offer her half....

You are right
Re: FJ40 350 LPG on TdMe
hmm, but saying and doing are 2 different things. can't force her to sign, and with dual ownership registered on the vehicle, presumably you would need BOTH owners to sign...

thats very tru, as much as the law is on your side who can be assed trying to force a sale like that...
oh, and they dont have to sign diddly.... you could put it in your name at the opposite end of the country...
